Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Bell Gardens site. The role leads the after-school program, drives attendance, and develops creative strategies to engage students in an enriching environment.

The position requires leadership experience in youth organizations, collaboration with school district staff, and strong organizational skills. Hours are Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, with evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience in after-school or youth programs.
• Ability to collaborate with school district staff, officials and parents.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and volunteers at the ASAS-LA site and provide professional development opportunities.
• Assist with discipline and behavior management and create a positive atmosphere.
• Coordinate with school sites to align ASAS-LA initiatives and strengthen partnerships.
• Ensure a safe, engaging environment and manage day-to-day programming.
