Job summary

After-School All-Stars in Bell Gardens is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead and manage a safe, dynamic after-school program that educates, enlightens, and inspires youth. You will drive attendance, collaborate with school staff and community leaders, and develop creative strategies to attract and retain participants while ensuring adherence to ASAS-LA protocols and high-quality programming.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership or supervisory capacity in an afterschool, day camp, or youth-based organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with School District staff, public officials, private sector officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Familiarity with quality criteria for expanded learning programming is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop and execute programs that accommodate diverse learning styles and interests.
• Experience working in ethnic and culturally diverse communities is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written communication) effectively in a team environment.
• Respond to critical incidents and act promptly in an emergency situation. Respond promptly to any and all incidents, using ASAS-LA protocols.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills.Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability
• Must be proficient with computer software programs.
