Job summary

School District 27J in Colorado is seeking a part-time before/after program supervisor for children ages 5–12. You will supervise activities, plan materials for daily and group activities, discuss issues with parents, and collect tuition.

Shift: Tue-Fri 3:00–6:00 pm on a 9-month calendar. Requires a high school diploma; CPR/First Aid and universal precautions within one month; medication administration training within one month; 15 hours of child care training; ability to lift up to 50 pounds;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR, First Aid and Universal precautions certifications required within one month of hire.
• Medication Administration and delegation training must be acquired within 1 month after hire.
• 15 hours of child care training within the 12 months.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Pass post offer, pre-employment physical.
• Pass Colorado and Federal FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and ensure a safe environment for children and staff.
• Plan and prepare materials for daily activities and craft projects; assist with homework.
• Prepare and clean up after snacks; maintain good hygiene.
• Keep a clean, healthy environment and sanitize surfaces.
• Maintain daily attendance records and know children's locations at all times.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and stay informed about district changes.
