Job summary

Ludlow Boys & Girls Club is seeking a Group Leader for its After School Program, an EEC-licensed school age childcare program. The role focuses on supervising and engaging youth, delivering high-yield activities, and supporting Assistant Group Leaders.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, Monday to Friday 2:30-5:30 PM, reporting to the School Age Director. Prior experience with children and CPR/First Aid within 6 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED. Must have 6 months experience working with children.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in working with children
• Knowledge of youth development
• Ability to motivate youth and manage challenging behaviors
• Ability to interact with the general public
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, guidance, and programming to children in our EEC licensed school age program.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and support to Assistant Group Leaders.
• Provide high-yield activities and create an environment that engages youth and promotes positive outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
• Provide positive reinforcement and feedback.
• Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities.
• Follow the group schedule and ensure safe, on-time transitions.
• Maintain accurate attendance and keep supervisor informed.
