Job summary

The Ludlow Boys & Girls Club is seeking a part-time Group Leader for its After School Program. The role involves supervising and guiding school-age children in an EEC-licensed program, with duties including activity planning and safety oversight.

Must have high school diploma or GED and be CPR/First Aid certified within 6 months. Work hours are Mon-Fri 2:30-5:30 PM, reporting to the School Age Director.

Qualifications

• Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED; 6 months experience with children.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with children; knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, guidance, and programming to children in our EEC licensed school age program.
• Support and guide Assistant Group Leaders.
• Lead high-yield activities promoting academic success, good character, citizenship and healthy lifestyles.
• Maintain attendance, ensure safety and participate in staff meetings.
• Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct and development of members.
• Ensure a safe environment and provide first aid as needed.
