Job summary

Walpole Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for the Extended Day Program (2:30 to 6:00 pm) at Old Post Road Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves supervising children, coordinating activities, and collaborating with the Site Coordinator.

Starting pay is $18.45 per hour; candidates must have a high school diploma or GED if not in high school. CPR and First Aid certificates are required; report to Site Coordinator and support staff to ensure safety,

Qualifications

Must be responsible, energetic, and committed to working with students.
CPR and First Aid certificates on file.
Assistants Site Coordinators must have a high school diploma or GED (if not currently enrolled in high school).

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with parents at arrival and departure.
Ensure welfare, health, and safety of each child.
Plan a craft or special activity with the Site Coordinator.
Bring information from families to the Site Coordinator.
Assist staff to keep rooms clean and materials organized.
Participate in physical activities with children as appropriate.
Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Monitor the position and well-being of children on the playground.
Ensure CPR and First Aid certificates are up to date.
Release children only to those on the Authorized to Pick Up list.
Provide varied games and activities from Extended Day cabinets.
Inform the Site Coordinator of breaks, consequences, or issues between students.
Plan and execute assigned activities and manage staff.
Act as Site Coordinator when the Site Coordinator is absent.
