Job summary

Cherokee County Schools is seeking a 21st Century Community Learning Center Site Director to oversee after-school programs at Peachtree Elementary, Andrews Elementary, and Murphy Middle School. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating academics, and ensuring compliance with NC standards and grant guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Education (or related licensure) and experience in education or supervision.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferred with experience working with children in an educational setting and/or experience in supervision, monitoring, and maintaining school related records, procedures, and policies.
Appropriate Teacher’s License preferred and/or degree/ experience related to procedures and operations within an educational setting and strong people and organizational skills.
Experience: a certified teacher in the participating school preferred

Responsibilities

Familiarize with grant goals, guidelines, and policies for 21st CCLC programs.
Manage day-to-day operation of the 21st CCLC programs at project sites and maintain records.
Recruit and supervise site staff; ensure program goals are met.
Recruitment and retention of students; track participation and evaluation measures.
Plan academic enrichment activities aligned to NC standards and provide after-school instruction.
Coordinate remote and in-person teaching strategies and family engagement activities.
Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA/FERPA compliance with student records.
