Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an assistant for the school-based child care program to actively supervise students under the guidance of a director or supervisor. The role focuses on developing positive relationships with students and the community while supporting a safe, engaging environment.

Ideal candidates will be at least 16 years old with strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work under supervision. Training hours and a background check are required for hire.

Qualifications

• The assistant must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must complete at least 15 clock hours of training each year of employment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes all tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers.
• Follows district policies and goals and uses district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
