Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Work under supervision of director, assistant director or leader.
• Complete at least 15 hours of training each year.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the school-based child care program.
• Follow procedures in ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participate in structured and unstructured activities with students.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Enforce program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and curriculum.
• Demonstrate effective communication with parents, students, staff and coworkers.
• Follow district policies and use district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
