Job summary

Sewickley Academy, located in Sewickley, PA, is seeking a part-time Assistant for its after-school program. The role runs 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, supervising students in Grades 1-5 and ensuring continuity and quality of programming.

The ideal candidate has experience with young children, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Check the program's equipment and ensure it is adequate before the program starts.
  • Treat all children with dignity and respect.
  • Assist the Director in lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation of the After School Program.
  • Work with other team members as needed.
  • Ensure all children are signed in and out each day.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
  • Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.
  • Report to Director with any problems.
  • Observe, record, and report on children’s behavior as assigned.
