Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Manchester Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role features a split shift: morning 7:00 AM–9:00 AM and afternoon 3:45 PM–6:00 PM, with pay ranging from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour.

You will lead engaging activities, supervise children, and help create a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and model positive behavior.
• Observe state guidelines and host school/district policies.
• May perform attendance, registration, and staffing tasks as needed.
