Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DCF 45-hour training within 1 year of employment.
• Knowledge of child development principles and licensing regulations.
• Commitment to strengthening families while prioritizing child wellbeing.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and apply safety procedures.
• Ability to work with children of varying ages (infants to preschoolers).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staff-to-child ratios with age-appropriate supervision across classrooms, playgrounds, and transitions.
• Follow safety plans, emergency procedures, and document incidents per policy.
• Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and oversee meals and snacks.
• Greet families, provide daily updates, and address concerns appropriately.
• Prepare snacks and follow Florida food handler protocols and allergy guidelines.
• Manage sign-in/out, attendance, and simple daily reports; protect student records confidentiality.
• Complete trainings and maintain certifications.
• Other duties as assigned to support center operations.
