Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Assistant must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under guidance of a leader or director.
• Engage in structured and unstructured activities with students.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follow program policies and procedures and assist with equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and curriculum quality.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff and co-workers.
• Adhere to district policies and use facilities responsibly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
