Job summary

Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Staff (part-time) to provide a safe, caring, educational environment for children from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Hours are Monday through Friday 3:15pm to 5:30pm with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with homework, planning activities, and communicating with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a school or after-school setting.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily after-school activities.
• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for the children.
• Distribute snacks following health and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with parents/staff about their child’s behavior.
• Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
