Job summary

Right At School is seeking an educator to support after-school programs in our community. You will deliver engaging daily curricula to help students learn, grow, and stay safe after the school day ends.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience with children and strong communication skills with families and school staff. This role offers part-time hours aligned to school schedules and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
Works well in a team environment.
At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs.
A love for children!

Responsibilities

Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance and incidents.
Deliver curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning.
Model positive guidance and maintain safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework and activities.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.
