Job summary

Roanoke County, Virginia is seeking an after-school childcare assistant to support children ages 5 through 12 at an assigned location. You will help plan and participate in organized activities and supervise in a safe, engaging environment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain after hire). Monday to Friday, 1:45–6:00 pm with 21.25 hours per week; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification required or to be obtained after hire.
• Some experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and actively participate in activities for children aged 5–12.
• Observe activities to ensure safety of all participants.
• Guide behavior with age-appropriate limits and encouragement.
