Job summary

Right At School is seeking an Educator to work with students after school at Cedar Hill area schools. You will lead activities, ensure a safe, structured environment, and build relationships with children while gaining experience in education and child development.

The role is part-time, Monday–Friday after school from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm, with pay starting at $15 per hour, depending on experience and education. Fluency in English is required and bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in childcare in a licensed setting or school-type environment.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to greet and check in students and maintain attendance records.
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session and take attendance.
• Plan and lead daily activities and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group.
• Support homework time and assist with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions for safety.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off about the child's day.
• Log incidents, injuries, or safety concerns with the site lead.
• Set up and clean the program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with staff.
