Job summary

MCEA Inc is seeking a Community School Programmer in Minnesota to schedule, market, and deliver a broad range of after‑school, evening, and weekend activities for youth in the Brooklyn Center area.

The role requires experience with preschool through Grade 5 youth, strong communication, and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to lift 20 pounds and work on-site in district facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in education, recreation, or related field.
• Experience working with preschool through Grade 5 youth.
• Good computer skills, including using Internet search engines, email, and MS Office.
• Good communication and human/public relations skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, market, and deliver a broad range of classes and activities after school, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Coordinate programs located throughout the Brooklyn Center area within the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
