Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks an After School Assistant to support the Extended Day program, ensuring safety, communication with families, and smooth daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years related experience working with children, plus CPR/First Aid certification (or obtain within 90 days). You will assist with attendance, communications, and activities under the coordinator's guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience with children.
• Must possess and maintain CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, courteous and empathetic manner.
• Assist the Extended Day Coordinator with phone calls, emails, and newsletters.
• Communicate with parents, site principal, and staff using effective written and verbal communication.
• Record attendance for morning and afternoon programs in the Extended Day system.
• Assist with snack distribution and maintain required records.
