Job summary

Diocese of Orlando Catholic Schools is seeking an after-care assistant to supervise students on campus after school hours. You will monitor activities, assist with transitions, and maintain a nurturing environment aligned with our Catholic values.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliable communication with families, and the ability to work with students aged 5–14. Hours are typically weekday afternoons with some summer hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and a positive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-school supervision for students.
• Check students in and sign them out to approved adults.
• Observe, monitor, and participate in children’s play activities.
• Provide supervised outdoor playtime when possible.
• Foster and support students’ spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Redirect inappropriate behavior and support program discipline.
• Communicate with supervisor and parents about issues.
• Report problems to supervisor or principal.
• Hours vary; typically weekday afternoons and extended summer hours.
