Job summary

Browardschools in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an INSTR PROGRAM ACTIVITY COORDINATOR to plan for and conduct the on-site Before and After School Care program activities, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for participants.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, experience with school-age children, and completion of Child Abuse and Neglect training plus First Aid/CPR within the first year, plus ongoing BASCC training; strong computers skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with school-age children in a group supervision setting.
• Within the first year of employment, complete the Child Abuse and Neglect training, and attain First Aid and CPR certification and maintain certification.
• Within the first year of employment attend at least ten hours of approved Before and After School Child Care training.
• Ten hours of BASCC approved training is required each additional year of employment.
• Demonstrated appropriate personal characteristics for working with children, youth and adults.
• Computer skills required as needed for the position.
