The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BASCC training, CPR/First Aid, and 18+ age. Florida My Florida modules may be required, with annual BASCC training and computer skills expected.

Qualifications

• A standard high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of documented experience or training in a school-based aftercare program.
• Completion of BASCC Comprehensive Child Care Components I and II.
• At least 10 hours of BASCC training annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and maintained.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Florida My Florida training modules are required if applicable.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Before and After School Care Quality Standards.
• Directly supervise and facilitate activities for children.
• Set and maintain non-punitive behavior standards.
• Provide safety supervision of play areas and activities.
• Participate in planning and evaluating activities and scheduling.
• Procure equipment and assist in cleanup of supplies.
• Report student incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Provide input on supplies and materials.
• Maintain cooperative relations with staff.
• Interact positively with parents and refer questions to the supervisor.
• Adhere to equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
• Participate in training and review current developments.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and School Board policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
