Qualifications

• BA in education, social work, children's ministry, or related field.
• 1–2 years of classroom or group experience with elementary kids.
• Experience with and sensitivity to needs of students from low‑income, high‑risk families.
• Responsible and independent professional, as well as a team player.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Commitment to Outreach's Mission & Faith.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to engage elementary students in the JNS after‑school program.
• Oversee day‑to‑day supervision and education of one classroom of elementary students.
• Teach and guide students in daily after‑school activities, including homework support, academics, SEL, and life skills.
• Maintain a student‑friendly classroom that encourages discussion, research, and learning.
• Enforce behavior standards per Outreach’s guidelines.
