LIFT Enrichment is seeking an enthusiastic Chef Teacher to lead hands-on after-school cooking workshops for students in local Title I schools. No professional chef experience is required; we provide training and curriculum.

This seasonal, part-time role runs Mondays through Fridays from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, at partner schools like Hawthorne USD and Inglewood USD. The position emphasizes safety, nutrition, and fun, with paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend.

Qualifications

• No professional chef experience required—training provided.
• Experience working with kids encouraged but not required.
• Reliable and punctual with ability to manage groups of 15–20 students.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking activities for K-8 students.
• Teach healthy recipes using provided curriculum.

After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher

LIFT Enrichment is looking for enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools.

Since 2010, we’ve taught 75,000+ students and built a team of 200+ Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience required — we provide training!

The Details:

• Rate: $28/hour
• Schedule: Mondays - Fridays (2-3 days per week) ; 2:30- 5:30 pm
• Age Groups: Elementary School
• Location: Hawthorne USD & Inglewood USD
• Position: Seasonal, part-time
• Paid training + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend
• Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are paid

A typical day includes teaching two workshops, you will be paid for approximately 5 hours of work which covers preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

What We’ll Provide

• Fun and detailed curriculum for you to follow - access to our cookbooks and fun recipes.
• Paid training 10-15 hours over the course of 2 weeks.
• Mileage reimbursement from your home to the school and back
• Prompt reimbursement for grocery shopping
• Time tracking through our clock in and clock out system so you’re fairly paid for all your work

What You'll Do
