Job summary

LIFT Enrichment in California is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Cooking Instructor to lead hands-on cooking workshops for K-8 students in Title I schools. No professional chef experience is required—we provide training and support.

You’ll teach healthy recipes from our curriculum, manage small groups, and handle setup, cooking, and cleanup. This seasonal, part-time role offers meaningful hours after school with mileage reimbursement and training perks.

Qualifications

• No professional chef experience required; training provided.
• Experience working with children or teaching is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to commute to assigned schools in San Jacinto, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 15-20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
• Teach healthy recipes using the provided curriculum.
• Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
• Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.

• Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.

After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher

LIFT Enrichment is looking for enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools.

Since 2010, We've taught 75,000+ students and built a team of 200+ Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience required - we provide training!

The Details:

• Rate: $28/hour
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 2-5 pm (2-3 days per week)
• Location: San Jacinto, CA
• Position: Seasonal, part-time
• Paid training + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend
• Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are paid

A typical day includes teaching two workshops, you will be paid for approximately 5 hours of work which covers preparation, teaching, and cleanup.
