Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking energetic and dependable After-School Cheer & Dance Instructors to lead cheer and dance enrichment programs for elementary students in Adelphi, MD. This part-time, in-person role fits those who love working with children and want a flexible afternoon schedule.

The role requires teaching 1.5-hour sessions, following a supplied curriculum, and supervising groups of 15–25 students. Training and materials are provided; no lesson planning needed.

Qualifications

• Cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, or coaching experience preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Comfortable working with students in grades K–5.
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Adelphi.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Must pass Prince George's County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging cheer and dance sessions for elementary students.
• Follow structured curriculum and activities.
• Teach motions, dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, and teamwork.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and leadership.
