Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. in Alexandria, VA is hiring energetic After-School Coaches to teach Cheer and Dance to elementary students in structured enrichment programs. This part-time, after-school role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with 1.5-hour sessions at $45 per session ($30 per hour).

Curriculum and equipment are provided; no weekends or lesson planning required. Ideal candidates are college students studying education, kinesiology, dance, or related fields and eager to build

Qualifications

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required
• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria
• Dependable and punctual
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership
