Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Coaches to teach Cheer and Dance to elementary students in Alexandria, VA. This part-time, after-school role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with 1.5-hour sessions; $45 per session ($30 per hour).

Qualifications

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5.
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
