Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. in Reston, VA is hiring energetic After-School Coaches to teach Cheer and Dance to elementary students in a structured enrichment program.

This part-time, after-school role runs weekdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM for 1.5-hour sessions. No weekends or lesson planning required; curriculum and equipment are provided, and you will gain hands-on experience and build leadership and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5.
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
