Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring a Cheer/Dance Coach to teach after-school programs in Woodbridge, VA. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with 1.5-hour sessions, and pays $45 per session ($30 per hour).

Curriculum and equipment are provided, no lesson planning required. The ideal candidate is pursuing education, kinesiology, dance, or related fields and will gain hands-on experience with elementary students while developing leadership and classroom management

Qualifications

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required
• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities
• Follow BBA’s structured curriculum and lesson plans
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership
