Job summary

The Franciscan School in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Part-Time Bridges staff member for our after-school program. You will supervise students, lead activities, monitor behavior, and help with transitions, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

You will assist with homework, supervise transportation on campus where applicable, and maintain positive communications with parents, students and staff while upholding our Safe Environment guidelines.

Position Summary

Our Bridges staff members are responsible for the supervision and well-being the students in our after-school program. Staff members are responsible for leading activities, monitoring students during indoor and outdoor play (including student behavior), assisting with homework time, transporting students on campus, and maintaining positive communications with parents, students and other staff members while maintaining compliance with our safe child guidelines and Parish mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides a welcoming and safe environment for all students
• Assists with set-up and clean-up of games, toys, and snacks
• Monitors student behavior during inside and outside play, addresses any concerns, and reinforces positive environment promoting the safety of everyone in the program
• Communicates with staff regarding student transport to and from different locations on campus to ensure student safety
• Assists students with homework as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 year of age or older.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference check; must complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification
• Prior experience working with elementary aged children
