Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role follows the school calendar and offers morning and/or afternoon shifts.

You will engage children through play, support learning experiences, and model safe, positive behavior. Ideal candidates enjoy working with kids and contribute to a warm, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: 18 years or older, High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
