Minnetonka Community Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Child Care Behavior Assistants for the 2026-27 school year. You will support students with participating in activities, work closely with the lead teacher, and help implement behavior interventions.

Shifts run after-school in several elementary schools, with some morning shifts possible. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered for eligible staff through June 8, 2027.

Formación

• Must be 18+, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with school-age children with special needs or behavior challenges is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Experience with CPI-certified techniques for crisis prevention and intervention is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work one-on-one with a student identified as having difficulty participating in daily activities.
• Assist with supervision during transitions, group activities, and unstructured play.
• Model appropriate intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and staff to ensure safety and success of all children.
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and staff.
