Job summary

Minne tonka Public Schools seeks enthusiastic individuals to join the Explorers after-school program as Child Care Behavior Assistants for the 2026-27 school year. You will work with students needing behavioral support and assist in implementing engaging activities in cooperation with staff.

Starting pay is $22.60 per hour with a $0.60 split-shift differential. Benefits are available at 30+ scheduled hours per week. Applicants must be 18+, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-age children with special needs or behavior challenges in a school or structured program setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with both adults and students.
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as a team member.
• Proven punctuality and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a student identified as having difficulty participating in daily activities.
• Assist with supervision during transitions, large and small group activities, and unstructured play.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure safety and success of all children.
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, building staff, and school district staff.
