Job summary

New York Junior Tennis League, Inc. seeks an Activity Specialist to lead after-school, project-based activities across arts, STEM, sports, or related areas for DYCD-funded programs in Brooklyn and surrounding boroughs.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–6:00pm, up to 20 hours weekly through June 2027; candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years working with youth, plus strong planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be available during after-school hours (2:00pm–6:00pm, Monday–Friday).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or youth in group settings.
• Ability to plan structured activities and manage a group independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement project-based activities for youth in the after-school program.
• Lead engaging, hands-on sessions and maintain a positive environment.
• Collaborate with site leadership to coordinate schedules and support youth needs.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; report progress and challenges.
