Job summary

New York Junior Tennis & Learning seeks an Activity Specialist to design and lead engaging after-school activities in NYC. The role focuses on project-based units within arts, STEM, sports, or leadership, aligned with DYCD/COMPASS-SONYC frameworks.

Shifts run Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, totaling up to 20 hours per week. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years working with youth, with strong communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Available after-school hours 2:00pm–6:00pm, 20 hours/week, Monday–Friday.
• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years working with youth.
• Demonstrated skills and ability to plan structured activities and manage a group.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead project-based activities in the assigned specialty area.
• Coordinate with site leadership and staff to schedule activities.
• Ensure youth safety and supervise participants.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
• Maintain organized materials and a safe activity space.
