Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Kid Zone Assistant at Lakeview Elementary School in Minnesota. You will engage with students before and after school, leading educational activities and ensuring safety while having fun. This part-time role offers field trips, a supportive team, and opportunities to create meaningful experiences for students.

Responsibilities include supervising groups, assisting with daily curriculum, and maintaining a welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma.
• Training or experience working with children in a group tutorial and supervisory setting.
• Interpersonal skills that lend themselves to a compatible working relationship with students and other adults.
• Possess basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to the student(s) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of children during planned activities in classrooms, cafeteria, gym, and field trips.
• Support children with a variety of needs.
• Supervise during transitions, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
• Assist Kid Zone Instructor in preparing and implementing the daily curriculum.
• Maintain room environment by setting up, cleaning and storing supplies.
