Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking an After Hours Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Under the direction of the After-Hours Chef de Tournant, you will prepare items for recipes, the salad bar, and the Vision Cooler, and ensure soups for the next day are ready.

You will also help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storerooms. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, capable of following FDA food safety standards, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma and Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of employment.
• Entry level role – on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for café and patients with FIFO and proper labeling.
• Maintain kitchen and equipment cleanliness in line with hospital standards.
• Assist with back stocks and daily soups preparation for patients and café.
• Record temperatures and log waste according to policy.
