Job summary

Four Peaks Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Prep Cook to join HonorHealth's Food Services team. The role supports coffee shop and main kitchen operations, preparing hot and cold entrees, salads, soups, and vegetables, and assisting with patient tray service.

You will maintain clean work stations, follow recipes, manage daily prep stock, and operate standard kitchen equipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Less than High School - Required.
• 1 to 2 years experience preferred.
• Food Handlers Card - Required.

Responsibilities

• Preps for hot and cold entrees and side dishes; follows recipes and specs.
• Washes and cuts vegetables and fruits; slices meats for salads.
• Operates grinders, ovens, choppers, mixers and blenders.
• Sets up stations and assembles meals per schedule and procedure.
• Ensures foods meet standards for quality, freshness, taste and appearance.
• Assembles cold salads, entrees, desserts for service.
• Stores and maintains prepared foods in proper temperatures.
• Plans preparation schedules to meet required times and quantities.
• Reviews forecast production needs and adjusts as needed.
• Maintains sanitary levels throughout the food prep process.
• Verifies storeroom items and requisitions as needed.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and utensils.
