Job summary

Citadel at Saint Anne Place in Rockford, IL seeks a Nurse Supervisor RN to lead nursing staff after-hours. The role emphasizes staffing, workflow, and high standards of patient care, with direct clinical duties as needed and coordination with other hospital departments.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing degree or diploma, an active RN license in Illinois, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in long-term care or MDS environments. CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Possess a current RN license in the state.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all on-duty nursing staff during non-business hours; ensure staffing and workflow.
• Act as highest-ranking on-site authority after-hours/weekends; make timely decisions on patient care, staffing, safety, and operations.
• Provide clinical expertise and assist with difficult cases or family situations; manage last-minute staffing changes.
• Develop and maintain care standards and perform regular rounds to monitor patient conditions.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting; provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas, patient rooms, and treatment areas; communicate admissions and room assignments.
