Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Hospice After-Hours/On-Call Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care and clinical support for hospice patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and other after-hours periods in Floyd area. Respond to calls, coordinate admissions, and ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current BLS certification as required by policy.
• Experience in hospice/home health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to after-hours calls from patients, families, and facilities.
• Perform nursing assessment and triage to determine clinical response.
• Make in-person visits when clinically indicated.
• Manage hospice symptoms such as pain and dyspnea.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and caregivers.
