Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in the AF SIM framework to support NASIC/NSIC missions. You will develop simulations, create plugins, and collaborate with DoD stakeholders to translate objectives into validated models.

Required are a STEM degree, 2+ years (level 2) or 5+ years (level 3) of experience, and US citizenship with TS/SCI clearance. Proficiency in C++, Python, and Agile/Jira will be essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM field and 2+ years experience; or MS with 0 years experience.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years of relevant experience or 3+ years with MS.
• US Citizenship with TS/SCI active security clearance required.
• AFSIM familiarity with development or advanced user experience preferred.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (C++/Python) and team projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain models in the AFSIM framework for mission-level analysis.
• Design and implement AFSIM scenarios and plugins including object detection and system behaviors.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, analysts and DoD stakeholders to translate requirements into models.
• Validate and document models and results for technical audiences.
• Extend AFSIM using Python, C++, and related tools and interface with external data sources.
• Prepare complex technical documentation communicating assumptions, limitations, and results.
• Work in an Agile team using Jira to plan work and deliver incremental capabilities.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the modeling environment and communicate with stakeholders.
