MMS Group is seeking a Property Manager for Affordable Property Management in Newark, NJ. You will oversee the operational and financial success of residential properties, lead site staff, and ensure compliance with government programs.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management or real estate management experience.
• Minimum two years of affordable housing experience.
• Experience with project-based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs; Section 8 voucher submission, tax-credit.
• LIHTC Certification is preferred.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite or similar property management software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and management.
• Rent collection and resident account oversight.
• Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance with the team and ensure organized make-ready processes.
• Prepare and monitor operating budgets with regional management and corporate office.
• Hire, train, and supervise site staff to ensure high performance.
• Conduct property inspections to maintain standards.
• Complete income verification to ensure government program eligibility.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
