Job summary

The City of Austin is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Asset Management, Compliance, and Monitoring Division for affordable housing projects completed after construction. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of construction, engineering, architecture, or related work.
  • Experience may substitute education up to four years.
  • Familiarity with housing or construction documentation and regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates project and program information to internal and external customers.
  • Assists in development and monitoring of budgets including pay applications and updates.
  • Participates in developing and implementing operating policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with city and regulatory requirements and permits.
  • Coordinates development and review of contracts and change orders.
  • Coordinates schedules, plans, and activities for projects and programs.
  • Assists in resolving conflicts with supporting documentation and procedures.
  • Maintains and improves City design and construction standards.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance.
