Job summary

Jersey Digs is seeking an Affordable Housing Manager to support the Municipal Housing Liaison and oversee the municipality’s affordable housing programs under DCA/COAH and UHAC compliance. The role assists residents, processes applications, and connects them with social services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, urban planning, psychology, or related field.
• Affordable Housing Professionals Certification or within 1 year of hire.
• US citizenship or immigration status required; NJ residency.
• Must pass physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enforce COAH, UHAC, and local affordable housing regulations with partners.
• Coordinate resale and rental of affordable units, including qualification and closings.
• Assist residents with accessing affordable housing and provide application support.
• Oversee Home Improvement Loan Program, contractor coordination, and loan docs.
• Oversee Financial Education Program and integrate with eviction prevention efforts.
• Serve as CDBG Coordinator ensuring funds are allocated to community needs.
• Attend meetings and represent the municipality on housing matters.
