Job summary

Wellington Management, Inc. is seeking an Affordable Housing Leasing Specialist for a 155-unit residential building in Minneapolis. You’ll manage leasing processes, conduct property tours, respond to inquiries, and build relationships with prospective tenants.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of affordable housing leasing experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and proficiency with basic computer tools. Yardi experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of affordable housing leasing experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
• Familiar with basic computer programs (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome prospective residents.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email or in person and schedule tours.
• Keep accurate records of phone and walk-in traffic.
• Conduct tours of available units and community for prospects.
• Explain features and amenities of the apartments and community.
• Screen rental applications and qualify potential residents.
• Prepare leases for future residents.
• Assist with lease renewals.
• Comply with Federal and local Fair Housing regulations.
• Assist with questions, maintenance requests, and rent payments.
• Maintain a professional front office and assist in admin tasks.
• Assist in managing special events at the property.
• Perform marketing activities and update ads and reports.
• Proactively recommend marketing strategies to drive traffic.
