Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure HUD/LIHTC regulatory compliance across on-site operations and corporate policies. You will oversee audits, data entry into compliance systems, and coordination with Local Housing Authorities and state agencies to support annual reviews.

The role requires LIHTC experience, knowledge of HUD programs such as Section 8, and the ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience processing LIHTC (Section 42) paperwork.
• Knowledge of HUD programs (Section 8, 202, 811) is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with on-site and corporate staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel as required by business needs.
• Perform audits and implement solutions.
• Enter data into compliance reporting systems and maintain files.
• Process commissions for move-ins and re-certifications.
• Communicate with Local Housing Authority and State Agency staff.
