Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties in Indianapolis seeks a Compliance Specialist to ensure LIHTC and affordable housing program compliance across our communities. The role partners with onsite teams to resolve issues, prepares for audits, and maintains accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years LIHTC experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and state reporting systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of LIHTC compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to educate and support onsite teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and state reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly LIHTC compliance reviews at affordable housing communities.
• Partner with onsite teams to identify and resolve compliance issues with timely corrections.
• Prepare for third-party file audits and property inspections.
• Enter and maintain event tracking in state reporting systems (move-ins, recerts, transfers, rent changes).
• Prepare documentation and reports for state and federal housing agencies.
