Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center seeks a Compliance Specialist to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met for each property, reporting to the Associate Director of Compliance. The role includes on-site file reviews, lease-up support, and periodic training for property management staff.

The position requires knowledge of local, state, and federal affordable housing requirements, and the ability to thrive in a stressful, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with affordable housing regulations and funding sources.
• Ability to interpret and apply income and rent limits across programs.
• Experience with regulatory agencies (HUD, TCAC, HCD, MOHCD) is a plus.
• Proven track record of accurate, detail-oriented work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-going file reviews for compliance with income and rent limits.
• Disseminate regulatory updates to property management staff on-site and in the main office.
• Provide periodic trainings to staff on compliance requirements.
• Maintain communications with the Associate Director of Compliance and portfolio managers.
• Assist in preparing reports for funders and regulatory agencies.
