Job summary

NHE, Inc. seeks a Community Manager for its Affordable Management Unit in Spartanburg/ Gaffney, SC. The role oversees fiscal accountability, marketing, regulatory compliance, and leasing across LIHTC or Section 8 communities, reporting to the Regional Property Manager.

The position requires supervising onsite staff, handling wage reporting, recertifications and annual inspections, while coordinating with property owners and regulators. Flexibility to work weekends/holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or two years of successful working experience in the apartment management industry.
• Experience with HUD/LIHTC/HAP and Fair Housing knowledge is preferred.
• Proven ability to supervise onsite staff and manage leasing, marketing and regulatory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee move-ins/outs, recertifications and interims per HUD/NHE guidelines.
• Monitor regulatory compliance for LIHTC/Section 8/HUD/HOME/HTF and related regs.
• Ensure properties adhere to program regulations and Fair Housing laws.
• Prepare management reviews and coordinate inspections from HUD or housing authorities.
• Supervise, train and coach onsite staff; manage performance and staffing needs.
